Setting Up a Kiosk
How to get the kiosk display app running on a TV or large screen.
This guide is for anyone operating the TV or display screen at your venue.
What you need
- A TV or display with a web browser (Chrome recommended)
- The kiosk URL provided by your organization
- An event manager or org admin nearby to complete the pairing
Opening the kiosk app
- On the TV, open the browser and navigate to your kiosk URL.
- The Home screen loads. If this is a new device, you'll see an empty device list and an Add new device button.
- Tap Add new device to start pairing.
The Pair screen
The Pair screen shows:
- A QR code your admin can scan from their phone
- A 6-character pairing code they can type in manually
- A countdown showing how long the code is valid (15 minutes)
Leave this screen open while your admin completes the pairing on their end. See Pairing a Device for the admin steps.
After pairing
Once your admin completes the pairing, the TV automatically switches to the Display screen and begins showing your organization's configured content. No action needed on the TV side.
After a power cycle or browser refresh
If the TV restarts or the browser is refreshed, the kiosk app automatically resumes the display without needing to pair again. You'll see a brief loading screen, then content appears.
Returning to Home
If you need to access a different device or start a new pairing, use the Home button in the corner of the display screen to return to the device list.
